Open Houses are a great way to give Buyers an opportunity to view your home
without any pressure.
LeBoeuf Real Estate has listed some common sense ways to insure you have a successful Open House:
Let your neighbors know you are having an Open House. Tell them that you
will call them after the Open House - If you don't, they should come over.
Better yet, ask them to come over for a treat during the Open House.
Lock away all valuables, prescription drugs, keys and firearms. Do not leave bank
statements or other personal papers such as a Passport where they can be seen.
Lap tops, I-Pads, hand-held electronic gadgets, pads and tablets should be locked up.
Best to have husband and wife hold Open House - If not possible, have a friend or
a LeBoeuf Vendor such as a Mortgage Consultant, Home Inspector, etc.
assist you that day.
Turn on all the lights. Open all the curtains and drapes.
Let the Buyer go ahead of you at all times.
Keep your cell phone with you at all times.
Lots of Buyers coming and going is good.
Consider having valet parking if it makes sense.
Be sure that all windows and doors are locked after the Open House.
Most of all have fun.
